Burna Boy reacts to beating Tems, Asake, Beyonce, Drake, others to double MOBO award 2022 win

Burna Boy has excitedly reacted to his double MOBO Awards 2022 victories over Beyonce, Chris Brown, Asake, Tems and so on.

The African Giant continues to conquer new territories and has added a new feather to his hat of achievements with his win.

Burna Boy who had been nominated under the category of Best International Act at the MOBOs alongside the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Beyonce, Chris Brown, Drake and Summer Walker had come out tops as the winner of the award. Other nominees under the category include Jazmine Sullivan, Skilibeng, Jack Harlow and Nigerian fast-rising global act, Tems.

The singer also secured the nod as the Best African Act, beating Asake, Rema, Fireboy and Omah Lay. This brings the star’s MOBO award wins to a total of three following his 2021 win as the Best International Act.

The MOBO Awards are an annual British music award presentation honouring achievements in “music of black origin”, including hip hop, grime, UK Drill, R&B and more.

The singer thanked the organizers of the award, indicating that he could not attend the event because of his concert in Zurich. He shared:

“Thank you @MOBOAwards ! I wish I could be there but I am in Zurich for my show today. Big love to @KanyaKing and everyone who work hard to make the mobo awards a success.”
