- Singer Fave hit up social media to vent her frustration at fellow artist Davido, accusing him of robbing her of the spotlight by refusing to share the stage.
- Despite their collaborative hit, Fave said their backstage connection didn’t translate into a joint performance at a recent event, which left her feeling snubbed and miffed.
Afropop artist Chidozie Godsfavour Ugochinyere, aka Fave, expressed disappointment at missing the chance to share the stage with the maestro Davido.
On January 1, 2024, Fave vented her frustration on Twitter, said despite being backstage with him, sheclaimed Davido performed their collaborative track ‘Kante’ from his Timeless Album at a recent show, and he didn’t extend an invitation for her to join him.
The songstress revealed that she shared a moment with Davido, exchanging hugs and pleasantries just before his performance.
However, her disappointment soared as Davido took the stage and performed ‘Kante’ without her, leaving her sidelined despite their prior interaction.
Fave said she saw the DMW boss performing a revamped version of their song on stage, only to discover that her own verse had been omitted from the new rendition.
She wrote; “Begun my new years with such a huge gag lol hugging Davido backstage as he’s about to perform, to watching him perform Kante in a new version with my verse taken off.
“Performing with you would have been a good way to start my year but I guess life happens. Happy nu year🤞💋”
