  • The tragic demise of US-based singer Zuwa has reverberated through the music world, causing seismic waves of mourning in both the United States and Nigeria.
  • The Nigerian community is immersed in sorrow, grieving the loss of this emerging star.

In an unexpected and heartbreaking development, Osazuwa Agbonayinma, known as Zuwa from the Roze duo, was tragically shot and killed in the United States.

His untimely demise was confirmed by his father, Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma, a former Nigerian lawmaker, during an interview with Channels Television.

The circumstances of Zuwa’s death, especially the fatal shot to the back of his head, remain shrouded in uncertainty. Investigations are ongoing to unravel the details surrounding this tragic incident.

Zuwa, beyond being one half of the musical duo Roze, was a distinguished individual holding a master’s degree in Architecture.

Together with his brother Eghosa, they crafted Roze’s unique sound and mesmerizing performances that captured the spotlight. Their 2020 release, the critically acclaimed song ‘Ileke,’ stood as a testament to their exceptional talent and untapped potential.

In other news, Veteran actor Olofa Ina has been buried at his residence in the Wakajaye area of Edeland in Osun State.

Olofa Ina died on Thursday evening after a protracted illness.

He was 73 years old. The burial ceremony on Friday was attended by several dignitaries, including politicians, traditional leaders, Islamic clerics, and film practitioners.

Among those present at the burial were representatives of the Timi of Ede land, Oba Munurudeen Lawal, and the President of the Theater and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), Mr. Bolaji Amusan, known as Mr. Latin.

In his tribute, Amusan, represented by TAMPAN’s Director of Finance, Mr. Ayo Oladapo, expressed how greatly the deceased would be missed by TAMPAN members, supporters, and family alike.

He highlighted the significant role the late Aderemi played in the entertainment industry and how he served as a role model for many emerging artists.
