We’re unaware of VeryDarkMan’s arrest – FCT police breaks silence amid protest
  • Amid mounting allegations involving Tonto Dikeh, Iyabo Ojo, and Samklef purportedly filing petitions with various policing agencies in Abuja, activist Verydarkman finds himself embroiled in a contentious legal situation.
  • Passionate youths have taken to the streets, demanding justice and the immediate release of Verydarkman.
  • With days passing since his detention, the FCT police have now broken their silence on the matter, injecting further intrigue into the unfolding drama.

Contrary to earlier claims, police in Abuja have vehemently refuted allegations suggesting their involvement in the apprehension of Martins Otse, popularly recognized as VeryDarkMan, a prominent social media activist known for his critical stance.

Recently, there has been speculation circulating on social media platforms regarding the alleged arrest of VeryDarkMan by police officers in Abuja.

In a widely circulated video, the legal representative of VeryDarkMan asserted that the social media critic’s arrest was initiated following a petition submitted earlier by Tonto Dikeh, actress Iyabo Ojo, and singer Samklef.

He claimed that these individuals submitted petitions to various law enforcement agencies in Abuja, which resulted in the summoning of the activist.

On Tuesday, a group of youths also mobilized and staged protests on the streets, advocating for the release of VeryDarkMan.

In response, Josephine Adeh, the FCT police spokesperson, stated in a recent interview with TheCable Lifestyle that the FCT police agency was “unaware of VeryDarkMan’s arrest.

“FCT police command is not responsible or aware of any of such person’s arrest,” she said.

The activist, who is very active on Instagram, has also been noticeably quiet in the past four days.

Cubana Chief Priest, the nightlife promoter, registered his support for VeryDarkMan, saying his arrest “signifies a process every activist must go through”.

“As an activist, you must pass through this kind of process @verydarkblackman enjoy the process bro, the end justifies the means. This is what you have always wanted, always ready to prove a point regardless. the only man I know that comfortably rejects money,” he wrote on Instagram.
