During a live video broadcast, Onny made it unequivocally clear that he was physically present at the scene when Junior Pope’s lifeless body was retrieved from the river. He recalled how blood poured profusely from Junior Pope’s nose after he was rescued from the water.
With unwavering conviction, Onny affirmed that he personally administered CPR to his beloved friend in a desperate bid to revive him.
Onny described how he carried Junior Pope on his back to the hospital and stayed with him, along with other colleagues, from midnight until 3 am, doing everything they could to save him.
In a pointed response to those who criticized him for not publicly paying tribute to Junior Pope on social media while promoting his upcoming movie, Onny didn’t mince words.
He called out the authenticity of those who merely posted about his late friend to generate content, branding them as insincere. Instead, he asserted that individuals like himself, as well as fellow actors such as Zubby Michael, who have been the targets of online trolling, are the ones genuinely mourning the loss of their beloved friend.
