Wives, call your husbands ‘my Lord,’ not ‘baby’ – Prophet Ritabbi emphatically asserts, Pastor Adeboye kicks

While Prophet Rittabi firmly believes in the traditional hierarchy of man as lord over his wife, Pastor Adeboye’s perspective seems to embrace the fullness of what it means to be both spiritual and human. The question remains: can a marriage truly thrive if it is all duty and no delight?

Wives, call your husbands ‘my Lord,’ not ‘baby’ – Prophet Ritabbi emphatically asserts, Pastor Adeboye kicks
  • Prophet Ritabbi has ignited a heated debate with his provocative advice to men: don’t let your wives call you baby, sweetheart, or love.
  • This eyebrow-raising stance quickly caught fire, prompting Pastor Adeboye to step in with a passionate rebuttal on social media, advocating for the sweetness of those very terms.
  • The conflicting opinions of these powerful figures has set the online world ablaze, with countless followers playfully weighing in on whose counsel they should heed.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has boldly declared the significance of keeping romance alive in marriage, even amidst the weight of spiritual duties.

His comments emerged following an opposing view from Prophet Ezenwa George Ritabbi, founder of Christ as of Old Ministry, whose controversial sermon asserted that men should deny their wives the right to use pet names like “baby” or “sweetheart” because they are meant to be treated as lords.

In a viral video, Prophet Ritabbi averred that men serve as overseers of their wives’ lives and deserve to be treated with utmost respect, a stance that has sparked significant debate.

“Never you allow your wife to call you stupid name by calling you baby, sweetheart. My wife won’t do that rubbish to me.

“You’re her lord, not baby, sweetheart or love. You are the overseer of her life,” Prophet Ritabbi said.

Pastor Adeboye, opposing the view, took to his official Facebook page, sharing a heartfelt message that radiates love and intimacy. He revealed that he and his wife, Foluke, continue to nurture their relationship by using affectionate nicknames when they are alone.

He passionately emphasized that spiritual anointing does not diminish romance; instead, it should enhance the bonds of love.

In his lengthy and emotive post, Adeboye urged married couples—especially those in ministry—to prioritize intimacy and keep the flames of romance burning brightly, ensuring their marriages are vibrant and filled with joy.
