Social media divided over Burna Boy and D’Prince’s alleged cult gesture in new clip

There was an intensity to the moment, a certain energy that could not be ignored, as though the handshake itself was part of a broader story, one only Burna Boy and D’Prince truly understood.

Social media divided over Burna Boy and D’Prince’s alleged cult gesture in new clip
  • Encircled by a vibrant entourage of friends radiating smiles and infectious energy, Burna and D’Prince exchanged a handshake unlike anything typical—an elaborate, almost ceremonial series of gestures that instantly set tongues wagging.
  • Social media exploded with theories, with some convinced it was a telltale sign of a shared allegiance to an exclusive or even clandestine brotherhood.
  • Others dismissed the notion entirely, chalking it up to artistic individuality, a spontaneous display of flair from two icons known for redefining norms.

The recent convergence of Afrobeats titans Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, widely revered as Burna Boy, and Charles Enebeli, known by his stage name D’Prince, has sparked an uproar that has reverberated far beyond the realms of music, drawing an ocean of commentary and heated debates across social media.

Captured in a private, dimly lit room surrounded by close allies, the duo clad in matching black attire were seen enveloped in an electric moment of brotherly affection. Their faces were lit with broad smiles, their laughter almost contagious, as they shared an intimate connection that radiated the depth of years of friendship.

Yet, it was their handshake, executed with such precision and flair, that would go on to capture the attention of many, and ultimately, unravel a storm of controversy.

Burna and D’Prince’s hands met with a firm slap to the sides, before moving into a fluid, almost choreographed intertwining of fingers—a gesture that was anything but ordinary.

As the video circulated online, reactions were swift and divisive. On Instagram, many viewers couldn’t help but speculate, and the conversation took a dark turn. A significant number of users, armed with their own interpretations, insisted that the handshake was a coded signal, something that carried all the hallmarks of secretive cultism.

However, not everyone shared the same interpretation. On Facebook, a more grounded response emerged, dismissing the claims of cult affiliations as overblown.
