Armed men suspected to be bandits have reportedly killed the Sokoto businessman identified as Alhaji Rabi’u Amarawa who was kidnapped on Monday after collecting N5 million as ransom.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that residents mourn as Armed men suspected to be bandits attacked Amarawa village in Ilela local government area of Sokoto state on Monday, March 1 and killed ten persons while others sustained degrees of injuries.
Speaking on the tragic incident, an undisclosed family source confirmed the latest development on Wednesday, March 3.
The source stated that the businessman was killed after the payment of the N5 million ransom.
“We were reliably told about his death and people have gone into the forest to recover his body.” he said.
