Ondo asks ex-deputy governor, Agboola Ajayi to return official vehicles

Ondo State Government has ordered ex- Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi to return official vehicles in his possession.

Ajayi, deputized Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu in his first term in office.

He was said to still be in possession of some official vehicles attached to his former office.

The directive for Ajayi to return the vehicles was contained in a letter addressed to him, dated February 16.

In the letter, Ajayi was asked to submit to the General Administration Department of the Governor’s Office, government belongings in his possession, including vehicles and other movable and immovable assets on it before February 23.

He was said to be in possession of one Land Cruiser SUV and two New Toyota Hilux.

Recall that Ajayi left the APC in June 2020 after falling out with Governor Akeredolu.

Ajayi was the candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the October 10, 2020 governorship election in Ondo but lost.
