Operatives have been ordered by the Inspector General of Police Muhammed Adamu to crush members of the proscribed Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) and Eastern Security Network (ESN).

The police boss, Adamu asked operatives to be ruthless against members of the proscribed Independent People of Biafra (IPOB).

This order was given by the IGP when he visited the burnt Imo Police Command headquarters and the Owerri Correctional Service on Tuesday.

Adamu said the police officers must use their weapons against the IPOB members and crush them to the last man.

In a related story, WITHIN NIGERIA reported that the Executive Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma has stated that those responsible for the attack in the state are “criminal elements” operating under the cover of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

Recall that the gunmen on Monday attacked the state police command headquarters, a correctional facility and a military checkpoint in Imo state.

Reacting to the attacks, the inspector-general of police, Mohammed Adamu had blamed IPOB for the attacks while the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCS) stated that 1844 prisoners were forcefully released from custody during the jailbreak.
