A businesswoman was reportedly killed on Tuesday afternoon by stray bullet as gunmen and security operatives engaged in a gun duel in Owerri, the Imo State capital.

It was gathered that the shoot-out was as a result of the attack on Orji Divisional Police Headquarters by hoodlums, who set the station ablaze.

The woman, who sold provisions at Hardel junction, Orji, near the scene of the incident was hit by the flying bullet in her shop.

According to The PUNCH, the woman’s corpse was lying on the floor as her relatives and neighbors wailed helplessly.
