Gunmen on Monday killed the son of Reke village head in Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State.
The gunmen were said to have invaded the Magaji of Reke’s compound overnight and shot the victim dead.
The spokesman of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Babawale Zaid Afolabi, said the attack, which took place at about 0200hours, threw the community into panic
Police officers from Afon Divisional Police headquarters have evacuated the corpse to the hospital for autopsy.
The State Police Command spokesman, Mr Okasanmi Ajayi, who confirmed the incident said an investigation was ongoing to unravel the masterminds of the dastardly act and effect their arrest.
