The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has announced that the 2022 governorship election in the State of Osun will take place on July 16, 2022.
INEC through its secretary, Rose Oriarian-Anthony, announced this in a timetable dated June 10, 2021.
The timetable outlined the schedule of activities in the build up to the election starting from the publishing of the Notice of Election on the 1st of February, 2022.
In another development, the Independent National Commission Electoral (INEC) Kaduna has said the security challenge facing the state will not prevent it from conducting the House of Assembly bye-election for the Sabon Gari constituency. It also said it has fixed June 19, 2021, for the House of Assembly bye-election.
