No fewer than 10 persons have been crushed to death and many others injured by gas tanker at a market in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.

It was gathered that the driver lost control of the vehicle around Idi Arere Area and struggled with it until it got to Bode Market, where the accident occurred.

Firefighters were said to have prevented the tanker which overturned from exploding.

Residents of the area told PUNCH that they are still afraid because of a possible explosion.
