A truck crushed a student of the Federal Polytechnic Nekede, Owerri, Imo State to death on Friday.
The 300-level student of Microbiology, Florence Kalu, who hailed from Abia State was reportedly crushed to death alongside the motorcycle rider conveying her to her hostel.
It was gathered that the incident, which happened at the Maternity Junction around the main gate of the institution, caused gridlock in the area.
According to PUNCH, a student, Dennis Ibe, who witnessed the incident, said, “The incident was unfortunate. Her course mates at the department of Microbiology are in shock.”
