Student beats Ogun teacher for stopping him from assaulting female school mate

A Mathematics teacher at the Itori Comprehensive High School, was reportedly beaten on Tuesday by one of his students after the teacher asked him to stop beating a female student in Ogun State.

The teacher identified simply as Owolabi was baten to a stupor barely 24-hour after some hoodlums invaded a school in the Yewa-North area and injured two teachers.

It was gathered the unnamed student in the Senior Secondary School 3 strolled into the class while the teacher was teaching and descended on the girl who was in the class.

According to PUNCH, an eyewitness said, “The teacher was teaching SS1 students when the male student entered the class and beat up a girl.

“The teacher told the boy to stop assaulting the girl, but boy descended on the innocent teacher and beat him up.

“The boy has been apprehended and has been taken to the police station, while the Amotekun group is also on ground in the school.”

The teacher was said to have been rushed to a hospital.

The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP, Abimbola Oyeyemi pleaded for more time to get information on the incident. He had yet to call back as of press time.
