Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu Thursday morning visited the victims of the Ikoyi building that collapsed on Monday, November 1.

The governor promised that the victims will get the best of medical attention.

WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that many people were trapped in the rubble, including the Managing Director, Fourscore Heights Limited, Mr Femi Osibona, who owned the building.

The South-West Coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency, Ibrahim Farinloye, on Thursday confirmed that 33 males and three females have been brought out dead from the rubble.

The names of some of those rescued were given as Oduntan Timilehin, 26; Sunday Monday, 21; Adeniran Mayowa, 37; Sholagbade Nurudeen, 33; Waliu Lateef, 32, and Ahmed Kanleku, a 19-year-old Beninoise.

This is as the government restated its determination to ensure that as many people as possible are rescued alive from the rubble.

WITHIN NIGERIA reports that the building crumbled around 2pm when workers were on the site.
