A driver has lost his live due to over speeding in a lone accident along the Lagos-Ibadan highway, before Ogun interchange.

According to DAILY POST, the crash occurred at about 02:3am, involving the male driver’s Nissan pick-up, with registration number, AAB 240 ZY.

“The suspected cause of the lone accident was excessive speed which led to loss of control and he was trapped inside the vehicle,” the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said.

FRSC spokesperson in Ogun State, Florence Okpe, said the trapped corpse had been removed and taken to Idera Hospital morgue, Sagamu, adding that the crashed vehicle was towed off the road.

Meanwhile, the Sector Commander of FRSC in Ogun, Ahmed Umar has cautioned motorists to desist from speed violation, especially at a time when there is high vehicular movement

Umar sympathised with the family of the victim, asking them to contact the Sagamu office of the FRSC for more information about the crash.

He advised motorists to drive cautiously and obey traffic rules and regulations.
