Fire outbreak in Port Harcourt community

On Saturday, Rumukalgbo community in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State witnessed a fire outbreak.

Men of the fire service were on ground to quench the fire.

Eyewitness said the fire may have been caused illegal petroleum product popularly called kpofire.

This is one of the many fire incidents that have been witnessed in Port Harcourt in the recent times caused by kpofire.

Days ago, a fuel-laden tanker exploded and killed a woman and her grandchild in the Lafenwa area of Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that the incident occurred on Sunday around 04:45am when the tanker fell while making its way inbound Rounder from Oju-Irin, Lafenwa area of Abeokuta.

Pandemonium, however, broke out few hours after the incident when some traders and hoodlums in the market began scooping fuel from the fallen tanker. Read more here
