NEXT supermarket located in the Kado area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja is on fire.
Details of the fire incident are sketchy as of the time of filing this report.
The supermarket is one of the largest in the Nigerian capital.
As at the time of filing this report, the level of destruction caused by the inferno couldn’t be established.
WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the multi-million naira shopping centre, Ebeano supermarket, Lokogoma, Abuja, was engulfed by fire in July.
The police arrested a 9-year-old girl, who walked to the inflammable section and lit the fire that destroyed the supermarket.
Lighters, gas cylinders were kept in the section, leading to the conflagration the fire fighters found difficult to extinguish on 17 July.
