The development was part of the resolutions reached by the lawmakers on a motion of urgent public importance entitled ‘Need to Curb the Rising Trend of Ritual Killings in Nigeria’.

In other news, over 16,000 Indians committed suicide due to bankruptcy or indebtedness while 9,140 others ended their lives due to unemployment between 2018 and 2020, Rajya Sabha was informed on Wednesday.
