Two guards have been reportedly slaughtered by assailants who attacked a Total filling station around Delabo Junction, Ilisan-Remo in the Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The guards were said to be attached to the filling station when the incident happened on Sunday night.
Residents of the area on Monday morning woke up to discover the corpses of the victims in the pool of their own blood.
According to PUNCH, one of the residents who pleaded anonymity said the assailants took nothing away from the filling station, a development that raised suspicion that the incident might be a case of assassination.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said he was yet to be briefed on the incident.
