2023: Kwankwaso’s son-in-law dumps PDP for NNPP

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2019 elections, Abba Yusuf and his running mate, Aminu Abdulsalam have defeated to the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

Yusuf is also the son-in-law of Rabiu Kwankwaso, former governor of Kano.

The decision was announced by the former PDP aspirant at a ceremony held in Gwale LGA of the state said PDP.

According to him, PDP had failed its supporters.

He also said there is no difference between PDP and the All Progressives Congress (APC), adding that his decision to dump the opposition party was as a result of “the yearning of teeming supporters”.

On his part, Abdusalam announced his defection at a ceremony held at Gwarzo town.

He also said he was positive that the NNPP will “ensure that the yearnings and aspirations of teeming people will be actualised”.
