Bandits kidnap KASU student, one other in Kaduna

On Monday, bandits kidnapped a University student and another person in Gwantu Kurmi, the capital of Kaduna State’s Sanga Local Government Area.

One other individual was also hurt by the bandits and was rushed to an unnamed hospital for treatment.

This was said by Prince Bala Audu, President of the Gwantu People’s Progressive Union.

According to him, “Joshua Victor Arumbus of the Department of Architecture, Kaduna State University, and a passer-by, Mr. Simon, were kidnapped, while one person was critically injured.”

He said the armed men stormed the community on Saturday at around 9:13pm on foot and started shooting indiscriminately at the residents.

He expressed fear over increasing incidents of kidnapping within Sanga Local Government and called on the security agencies to improve on their response to distress calls from the communities.

He also called on Kaduna State Government to take drastic measures in curtailing the security menace ravaging the state.

Kaduna residents know no peace over incessant Banditry attack.

Bandits had attacked Kagoro community, Kaduna-Abuja train, abducted several people, while 26 were injured.
