The men of the state fire service were able to put out the fire.

The rescue team of the Federal Road Safety Corps FRSC from RS5.3 Sector Command, Awka was on ground to manage traffic and ensure the obstruction caused by the crash is removed.

The state Sector Commander, Corps Commander Adeoye Irelewuyi, commiserated with the families of the dead victims.

He warned motorists in the state to avoid over speeding and ensure they keep to the recommended speed limit.

“Speed drills, but kills, check your speed and not your watch. Let us keep our road safe from a crash,” he warned.
