The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara State has denied rumors circulating on social media and other online platforms that the party has suspended its chairman due to anti-party activities.

Earlier, it was reported that the Zamfara PDP had suspended its chairman due to anti-party issues.

When speaking with reporters in Gusau on Thursday, the Party’s Deputy Chairman, Prof. Kabir Jabaka, debunked the rumors, saying the message was the product of miscreants.

Jabaka said officials of the PDP in the State never met to discuss any allegation against the party chairman, retired Col. Bala Mande, “and in case of dispute, I shall be one to unveil it”.

“I say categorically that Col. Bala Mande still remains the Zamfara State PDP Chairman and investigation is ongoing to identify the author of such rumours,” he said.

He said the party in the State would continue to hold its political activities as party membership continues to increase daily.
