Tension in Osogbo, capital of Osun State as police reportedly shot the correspondent of The Nation Newspaper, Toba Adedeji.
WITHIN NIGERIA learnt that Adedeji was shot alongside a teenager at Olaiya, Osogbo, by overzealous policemen who wanted to disperse a mourning crowd.
It was also learnt that the crowd was said to be that of people who converged on Olaiya to mourn the passage of Mr Abiola Afolabi who was killed by policemen on April 4, 2022.
Afolabi was buried today and his friends held a rally to mourn him.
According to reports, Adedeji had been rushed to the Osun State University Teaching Hospital for treatment.
