Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has denied being involved in a car accident on Monday morning.
Osinbajo’s convoy was said to have been involved in a crash along Abuja’s airport road, according to reports on social media.
However, according to his spokesman, Laolu Akande, the Vice President only stopped at the scene to assist a citizen who was involved in an auto accident.
Osinbajo, according to Akande, has arrived in Owo, Ondo State, where worshippers were brutally attacked and killed at St. Francis Catholic Church in Owo.
Akande wrote, ”On his way to the airport this morning, VP came across a road traffic accident, stopped to lend assistance, & ensured the victim was taken to the hospital with VP’s convoy ambulance.
”He then proceeded on his trip and is now in Ondo State heading to site of yesterday’s attack in Owo.”
