Son-in-law to Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso identified as Abba Kabir Yusuf has been declared governorship candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Kano state.

In a primary held at the Sani Abacha youth centre on Monday, Musa Bako Aujara, the party’s election committee chairman, said Yusuf is the only aspirant that contested the NNPP governorship ticket in the state.

Musa said a total of 1,452 delegates participated in the exercise, with three from each of the 484 wards, adding that all the delegates affirmed Yusuf as the party’s candidate.

“Going by the party guidelines, you can affirm a candidate through the use of ballot and there is only one contestant in this exercise in the person of Abba Yusuf,” he said
