A Kwara state resident, Rubabat Sanni, has been remanded for robbing his Beninese lover, Zubera Bio Gbengagi, of the sum of CFA 10m (N9.5 million).

The incident occurred while Zubera was sleeping in a room in the house of her lover, Abubakar Sanni, in Abu-Ogun compound in Yashikira area.

The First Information Report (FIR) reads in part: “He (Abubakar) led five gunmen into the room and robbed the victim of the said amount along with one Infinix Hot 6 valued at N70,000 and one small Samsung phone valued at N6,000.”

The police said investigation led to the arrest of one Abubakar Abdulazeez who returned the key of the victim’s motorcycle which was earlier taken away by Sanni Abubakar during the robbery.
