The All Progressives Congress, APC, has reacted to the emergence of former Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima as its vice presidential candidate.
APC described Shettima as a competent, capable and reliable choice.
The ruling party commended its presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, for picking Shettima as his running mate.
In a tweet on its verified Twitter handle, APC wrote: “Our great party congratulates H.E. Kashim Shettima on his emergence as the running mate to our presidential candidate, H.E. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. A truly competent, capable, reliable and able choice.”
Tinubu had officially announced Shettima as his running mate on Sunday.
This came after his placeholder, Kabiru Masari stepped down from the position.
Tinubu had submitted Masari’s name as a placeholder to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, while he searched for his running mate.
