The All Progressives Congress (APC) has delayed the formal introduction of former Borno State Governor Kashim Shetima as Bola Tinubu’s running mate.
Shetima was supposed to be introduced to party members on Thursday at the APC national Secretariat.
The event has, however, been moved up, according to the chairman of the APC Press Corp.
A new date will be announced when it is appropriate, he said, and it is most likely going to be sometime next week.
The Press Corp chairman said the directive for the postponement was given by the party’s Deputy National Secretary.
No reason has been given for the decision which comes amid controversy over the choice of a Muslim-Muslim ticket by the party.
