On Tuesday, a loud explosion was heard on the premises that house the office of the Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Dr. Folashade Arike Ayoade.
As a result, there was anxiety in certain areas of Lokoja, which is the capital of Kogi State.
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered the incident occurred early hours of Tuesday.
Attempts by journalists to contact the Kogi State Police Command were futile because the command’s spokesman, Williams Ovye Aya, was unavailable to take calls and did not respond to text messages forwarded to him.
There have been several incidents of bomb blasts in the state.
Recall that on June 3, a bomb blast in the Idoji area of Okene Local Government Area of the state killed a resident and injured others.
