A mother and her two kids have been burnt to death at a black market shop in Satellite Town, Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The shop was said to belong to the deceased children’s father who reportedly sold adulterated fuel there.

It was gathered that the kids had slept in the shop while their mother was outside when the fire broke out around 5pm on Saturday.

She was said to have rushed in to save the children but also got trapped in the inferno.

“The charred bodies have been taken away under the supervision of the police from Satelite Town Police Station.”

The State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident added that further investigation was ongoing.
