Ex-Reps member, Tayo Sarumi is dead

A former member of the House of Representatives, Tayo Sarumi has passed away

It’s learnt that Sarumi died Friday evening.

Sarumi represented Ibadan North Federal Constituency in Oyo state between 2003 and 2007.

He succeeded his brother, Hon. Alli Balogun, who represented the constituency between 1999 and 2003.

Sarumi died at the age of 75 in hometown in Ibadan.

He was succeeded by Waheed Aderemi Gbede who represented the constituency between 2007 and 2011.

Sources close to the family said that the former lawmaker would be buried today, Saturday. The cause of his death is however not disclosed.
