Peter Obi meets with Gumi in Kaduna

The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi paid a courtesy visit to controversial Islamic cleric, Ahmad Gumi, in Kaduna State.

Obi and his running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, visited the cleric in his official residence on Monday.

The former Anambra State Governor announced the meeting on his Twitter handle, sharing photos from the visit.

The LP standard bearer did not disclose reasons and details of the meeting as at the time of filling this report.

Obi wrote, wrote, “Dr Datti Baba-Ahmed and I stopped by for a courtesy call on Sheikh Gumi at his official residence in Kaduna.”
