Plateau State Governor Simon Lalong has named All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate Bola Tinubu as the best candidate to lead Nigeria in 2023.

Speaking on Friday in Jos, the Plateau State capital, Lalong praised Tinubu as the only politician in Nigeria who left office in 2007 and is still relevant in progressive political spaces.

According to him, the former Lagos State Governor is not only the Jagaban of the southwest, but of Nigeria as a whole, and he is the best candidate to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari.

REPORTS FROM WITHIN NIGERIA Governor Lalong made the declaration while hosting the APC National Youth Leader, Dayo Israel, who was in the state for interaction with the youths ahead of the 2023 elections. He was represented by the Plateau Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Dung Daylop.

He says Tinubu has “left footprints on the sands of time wherever he served.

Tinubu is the only politician who left office in 2007 and remains relevant in every progressive discussion in country.

Tinubu is not just the ‘Jagaban’ of the South West but the entire Nigeria.

In his remarks during the visit, Israel said those saying Tinubu is not a youth should realize that he is a friend of the youths and has helped many of them become better persons by placing them in both private and public positions.

He called for total support for the APC candidate to emerge as the next President of Nigeria.

In his words;

That is why we must make it a duty to work and deliver our polling units, local government areas and state for Tinubu.

If they tell you that he is not young, tell them he is a friend of the youths.

If we vote him, we will be better for it because he has assisted many to heights they never imagined.

We are counting on you, we have a choice before of us and that choice is Tinubu.
