While the circumstances surrounding the burial of these victims in shallow graves remain shrouded in secrecy, WITHIN NIGERIA gathered might be the ESN members who died protecting the interest of the group.

One of the victims simply identified as Ebenezer has been buried at his hometown, Aguibeje Igbo-Eze North local government area while the security agents continue to comb the area for more facts about the other victims.

Recall that for some months now, following the declaration of sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Igbo-Eze North local government area has been embroiled in security challenges ranging from kidnapping to outright murder of many residents.

WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that greater percent of the council area has been deserted by the residents for fear of kidnapping or any other security challenges.

At present, there are three security outfits in the council area, each trying to exert greater measure of control.

The Eastern Security Network,ESN is battling with Fulani herdsmen and Nigerian Army and Police one front while the Ebubeagu security outfit is at dagger’s drawn with ESN and criminal elements in the area, a situation that has led to anarchy in the council area.

However, the ESN is yet to release a statement to that effect even as many people are also afraid that with the new development, the security situation may worsen.
