An Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure has sacked Hon Aderoboye Samuel representing Odigbo Constituency II as Deputy Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly.

The court also ordered the Assembly to immediately reinstate Hon Iroju Ogundeji, who represents Odigbo Constituency 2 as its Deputy Speaker.

The order was given after the court nullified the 2020 impeachment of Ogundeji as the Deputy Speaker over alleged gross misconduct.

Ogundeji was suspended in July 2020 and efforts he made to resume plenary following the court’s orders failed.
