Director-General of the Labour Party, LP, Presidential Campaign Council, Akin Osuntokun, lost his native local government, Ekiti West, to the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Saturday’s presidential election.

The APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu defeated his LP counterpart Peter Obi, who came third behind the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar.

In results declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC Local Government Collation Officer, the APC won all 11 wards in the LG.

The ruling APC polled 14,516 votes, LP scored 391, PPDP secured 4,318, and New Nigerian Peoples Party, NNPP 10.
