The All Progressives Congress, APC, has defeated the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in two polling units located outside the Benue State Government.
The APC gubernatorial candidate, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, at the Government House Arts Theater Polling Unit 011 polled 130 votes while PDP guber candidate, Hon Titus Uba, scored 43 votes.
The result was announced by the Presiding Officer, Bosede Benson.
Also, at the Government House Protocol Polling Unit 022, the governorship result announced by the Presiding officer, Chindo Jamila, indicated that APC scored 36 votes while PDP polled 10 votes.
WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that no fewer than three persons suspected to be political thugs were killed while attempting to snatch ballot boxes and the Bimodal Voters Accreditation System, BVAS in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State.
It was gathered that the thugs invaded polling units 026 and 004, in Gboko South while electoral processes were ongoing and attempted to snatch ballot boxes and the BVAS.
