Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike has stated that he does not require Nigeria Police Force or Nigerian Army operatives to rig an election.
This was stated by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain during a media briefing in Port Harcourt, the capital of Rivers State, on Wednesday morning.
WITHIN NIGERIA understands that Wike said this in response to speculations about the outcome of the state’s recently concluded presidential, national assembly, governorship, and house of assembly elections.
Why would I need the Police to rig an election, why would I need the Army? It is only those that have not been able to offer anything that is dependent on security agencies to help them rig elections. I don’t need it, Wike said.
