Festus Keyamo, the spokesman for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, has responded to reports that the Labour Party (LP) has set N25 million for a governorship form for Imo state.

WITHIN NIGERIA reports that governorship elections in Imo, Kogi, and Bayelsa will be held on November 11, 2023, as the tenure of the incumbent Governor of Imo State expires on January 14, 2024, and those in Kogi and Bayelsa expire on January 26, 2024, and February 13, 2024, respectively.

A few days ago, the alleged N25 million for governorship form sparked an online debate, with some claiming that the LP, like other political parties, is becoming part of the corrupt system.

Reacting to the news on Twitter, Keyamo said Nigeria escaped a bullet on February 25, claiming that it didn’t take long for the so-called ‘new breeds’ to unravel.

I understand that the Labour Party’s Governorship forms for IMO State costs N25 million, same as that of the PDP in the last election. It didn’t even take long before the pretensions of the so-called ‘new breeds’ have begun to unravel. Nigerians dodged a bullet on February 25th.

Only Way Atiku, Obi’s Supporters Can Accept Tinubu

Meanwhile, Festus Keyamo has revealed the only way for those who did not vote for Bola Tinubu to accept him.

WITHIN NIGERIA reports that supporters of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, and his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, have continued to reject the declaration of Tinubu as the president-elect.

In addition, Obi and Abubakar have petitioned the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal in Abuja to overturn the results of the February 25 election.

In a tweet sent from his verified Twitter account on Sunday, Keyamo stated that he has come to the conclusion that no amount of persuasion can persuade those who did not vote for Tinubu to believe in his administration.
