Osimhen to miss Napoli, AC Milan match due to injury

Napoli’s talisman, Victor Osimhen, will miss Sunday’s Serie A league clash against champions AC Milan.

Osimhen sustained an injury while on international duty with Nigeria this week and has missed training since returning to Naples, the club said.

Napoli disclosed the development in a statement on their official website.

According to the statement, the striker complained of an abductor strain upon his return, which was confirmed after he underwent tests.

The 24-year-old will now miss the game at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium and will be further evaluated next week to determine the extent of the Injury.

Napoli will hope the fantastic forward avoids a serious injury with their UEFA Champions League quarter-final clashes against AC Milan few weeks away.

Osimhen has scored 25 goals and provided four assists in 28 outings across all competitions for the Partenopei this season
