Tunde Akindunbi, a middle-aged man, was discovered dead under a mango tree in Ado-Ekiti’s Dallimore area.
It was gathered that the incident could have happened in the middle of the night, according to a reporter who visited the scene.
Although the cause of his death had not been determined as of the time of this report, neighbours reported seeing him at 8 p.m. on Friday.
Neighbors claimed the deceased was discovered in a position indicating suicide, but others claimed the position was suspicious.
They claim he was murdered and hung to cover up any evidence.
When contacted, DSP Sunday Abutu, spokesman for the Ekiti State Police Command, stated that an investigation into the matter has begun.
He said two persons have been invited for questioning to assist the command with necessary information.
