The Delta State Police Command has dismissed Inspector Ebri Ubi, who shot and killed a trader, Onyeka Ibe, for allegedly refusing to part with a N100 bribe in Oshimili North Local Government Area of the state.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that the police inspector was arrested after shooting and killing Ibe while performing a stop and search along Ugbolu-Illah Road.

The trader, a phone seller, was said to be on his way to work when he was stopped by policemen at a checkpoint and shot in the presence of his wife who was in the car with him.

Following public outcry, the state Commissioner of Police, Ari Muhammed Ali, swiftly issued a statement ordering the arrest of the killer cop.
