Welder, one other killed in renewed cult rivalry in Delta

A welder and a yet-to-be-identified person have reportedly been killed in a renewed cult rivalry in Warri, Delta state.

It was gathered that the welder was killed on Wednesday afternoon in the McIver area of the town while the other person was murdered last Saturday, at Sido axis of Warri.

According to The Nation, the assailants who killed the welder were allegedly dressed in military uniform.

It was also gathered the victim of Saturday’s incident was attacked in his house.

The State police spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, when contacted could not confirm the development.

Edafe said: “The DPOs in that area said such matters were not brought to their knowledge”.

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that a youth leader and a strong member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Chief Sylvester Eferhobo, was hacked to death in Agbarho community, Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.

It was gathered that the incident occurred on Sunday night after the deceased was called out of his house by his assailants.

According to residents, Efethobo’s death is linked to cult-related issues.
