Bandits have kidnapped Ibrahim Sarkin Fada, the District Head of Kasuwar Daji in the Kaura-Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
It was gathered that the district head was kidnapped in his residence in the early hours of Thursday
According to PUNCH, an indigene of the area, Malam Audu Mohammed, confirmed that the bandits who were in large numbers stormed Kasuwar Daji village and went straight to the village head’s house where they abducted him and took him to their camp.
Bello said the bandits fired many gunshots in order to frighten the residents of the village who wanted to rescue their village head.
He said, “I was in my house when I heard gunshots around 2:30 to 3:00 am last Thursday.”
“I was called later around 4 am by a friend who told me that our district head was abducted.”
The security agents were yet to comment on the issue as of the time of filing this report.
