As part of ongoing discussions on the zoning of the 10th National Assembly’s leadership roles, Deputy Speaker Ahmed Idris Wase escorted five other aspiring Speakers to a vital meeting with the All Progressives Congress (APC) party’s National Working Committee (NWC).
Sani Jaji of Zamfara, Yusuf Gagdi of the Plateau, Muktar Betra of Borno, Mariam Onuuaha of Imo, Sada Soli of Kastina, Femi Bamishile of Ekiti, Abubakar Hassan Nakraba of Nassrawa, and Ahmed Jaha of Borno are present at the meeting.
WITHIN NIGERIA had earlier reported that Members-elect for the 10th assembly have already held a private meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Returning and new lawmakers both attended the meeting, which was hosted at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja.
