A truck has crushed a pedestrian to death at the Immigration Junction on the Awka-Onitsha Expressway in Anambra State.
According to Daily Trust, a witness said the incident occurred on Tuesday when the Dangote truck with body code number: OPL-1A-022, ran over the pedestrian.
He said three men were involved in the accident but that the other two escaped unhurt.
The witness also said the truck’s driver wanted to escape but was blocked by someone and he and his truck were taken to B Police Division, Awka.
The spokesperson of the Anambra State Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Margaret B. Onabe, who confirmed the incident said that a rescue team rushed the victim to the hospital where he was confirmed dead and his corpse deposited in the mortuary.
